Kerala Festivals
Kerala is a land of festivals, celebrated irrespective of caste or community. Although the basic practice and customs that are accomplished by a particular religion, it is not surprising that people of other religions who are in the celebrations and share their happiness. The main festivals of Hindu are Onam, Vishu, Navarathri, Deepavali etc. The main festivals of Christians are Christmas and Easter. Muslims are celebrating Bakrid, Muharram and Ramsan. More, there are number of other local festivals associated with temples, churches and mosques. Among the traditional festivals of Kerala Boat Race (vallamkali) has a place of honor. The same applies to the festival of God Thrissur Pooram.
